will select its cover mom from the online applications it receives and will also
feature 5 moms from the group of runner ups.

Modern Mom Magazine which was launched in November 2007 has featured Kathy Galkin,
renowned fitness guru in Loudoun County, Virginia as its first cover mom. Kathy
Galkin started the first StrollerFit franchise in Virginia almost two years ago and
now has 180 members. Among 300 franchises across the country, her StrollerFit
franchise is the largest class in the nation. Three moms, Julie E. Ferguson, Lynda
Cline and Karina Rivas McKee were selected as feature moms from a group of runner
ups for the inaugural issue of Modern Mom Magazine for Loudoun County.
